The higher ranked teams saw more success as V4 entered it's second day, and we found the first two teams to qualify for the main event.
eSuba and Enterprise are through to the main event of V4 Future Sports Festival after advancing through the Play-In, joining the likes of Gambit, Entropiq, and BIG on the team list for the $326,360 tournament.
The first qualification series saw eSuba taking on ONYX, and in keeping with day one we were in for a bizarre series.
First up was Inferno, a map that Lukáš "sAvana1" Lintner himself admitted his team “suck” on, and yet it was eSuba that took an incredibly comfortable 16-5 victory. This was largely down to a huge 1.83 rated carry performance from Matěj "twist" Petráš, who repeatedly secured multi-frags whilst defending banana on CT side.

That took us to eSuba’s pick of Nuke and here it was ONYX that secured a tight 19-15 overtime victory, on a map that they sported a 20% win rate on prior to this win. Dimitrije "DiMKE" Veljković and Aleksa "Impulse" Stankić did the heavy lifting for the the Serbian squad, who somehow won 4-0 in overtime despite losing the opening frag in every round.
eSuba were not to be deterred, and they recovered to take home the decider of Mirage in convincing fashion 16-7, relying on a strong 10-5 T half to ensure victory. sAvana1 was the standout man in this one, with a 1.67 rating and 88 ADR topping the scoreboard.
eSuba secure themselves a berth in the main event, whilst ONYX get another shot at qualification against SINNERS in a best-of-three on day three.

The second series of the day featured Budapest Five and Enterprise, and we were treated to another three map affair.
The series opened with Budapest Five’s pick of Nuke and they confidently justified the selection, cruising to a 16-5 victory off the back of a ten-round T half. Fodor "fleav" Levente ran riot in this one, dropping 30 frags and a monstrous 132 ADR on his was to a 2.07 rating.

Next up was the Enterprise pick of Ancient, and it ended up being a tough slog for the Slovak-Czech squad. It was such a slog that we went all the way to overtime, and in the end it was the Hungarian side’s discomfort on the T side that allowed Enterprise to take it home 19-16.
The final map was Mirage, and it was here that Enterprise showed why they are the significantly higher-ranked team. After a tight 8-7 first half in favour of the Hungarians, Enterprise pulled away when they moved onto the defensive side, picking up nine rounds to Budapest Five’s two, finishing the map 16-10 and taking the spot for the main event.
The home favourites Budapest Five will get another shot at progressing on day three when they face off against Fiend in a best-of-three.
